My first attempt at making an insert and I wished I’d done it years ago. Game setup and put away times have been drastically reduced and it even looks good in the box!
To start with, I took a good look round at what everyone else was doing and tailored things to my own needs. Base and sidewalls went up first and from there everything could be laid in to get measurements – it all went a lot easier than I expected.
Eldritch is a big game, especially when you start adding all the expansions, and sure enough, just after completing this I bought Mountains of Madness, which is a big box expansion. I managed to cram a few components in, bearing in mind I’d already incorporated two small box expansions, but there was no way everything was going to fit. Eventually, I’ll probably end up with an insert in another box to hold everything, as I’m sure more expansions will find their way into the house!
Anyway, here are the pictures…

And if anyone is interested, here are the plans to work from.
I’ve also added the plans under the resource’s dropdown menu, where I’ll be adding future plans, as and when I get around to them.
Very neat solution there, Justin! 🙂

Yep, very effective for sure. I might have to get myself some black foamcore.

Thanks Azazel.
I always thought inserts, ‘Pah! Waste of time and money’, but now I’ve used one I can see the benefits, especially setting a game like this up.
Definitely worth the effort 😀
