Okay, I painted these like an age ago but only now have I finally got them mounted on their bases.
There isn’t much to say about this bunch really, as they were painted mostly by drybrushing. I used several colours to build up the scales, my favourite of which was Scale 75s Fuchsia, which is the predominant colour that can be seen – used on the scales, tassels, and plume.
Try as I might, I couldn’t get the bends out of the spears and gave up after a couple of attempts at the hot water method. I couldn’t be bothered with NMM either, but I do like how the bits of bronze armour look considering they’re just a layer of Vallejo’s Bright Bronze covered with a Flesh Wash.
In terms of the rest of the monsters. The Star Spawn have been painted and varnished; I just need to buy some bases big enough for them. The Ancient Basilisk is waiting a repaint, because I cocked up the colour choice, and I’ll get around to that when I next get my airbrush out.
I’m spending a bit more time on the characters, as they’re the focus of the game, two of which have been finished and need varnishing/basing, and another four are in progress, so, expect to see more from Mansions soon…

I really like how you’ve painted these, and how well the drybrushing has brought out the details. That fuchsia pink is now on my shopping list LOL!

Yes, the fuchsia is really nice colour and the Scale 75 paints are growing on me.
They take a bit of getting used to – they’re gel based and they darken as they dry, but I like the control the gel seems to give 🙂

That fuchsia is really nice. Pink is often tricky for me, so I might check that out as well. Some nice looking Serpent people there! 😀

Cheers mate. Yes, the Fuchsia is a little different to a lot of other pinks, being a darker, redder pink than most – I like it!

Its a shame those bendy sculpts can’t be fixed. That type of stuff would drive me crazy with MoM minis. The serpent people look fantastic and I really like the color scheme you chose for them. Its great to see you getting back into the swing of things, Justin! 🙂 I look forward to seeing more when you get around to it!

Yes, typical MoM minis really though these do look quite good on the game boards. I wanted something a little different to the usual green serpent colours, though I’m sure I stole the idea from somebody else!🤔

That fuchsia is no instant-color I gather? I have some of their yellows, but I doubt they would suffice for drybrushing.
Drybrushing those the job for those though!

The Fuchsia isn’t an instant-colour, no, just one of their standard Scale75 paints.
It’s not often I do much drybrushing but these were crying out for it.
