Back up and Running…

Well, both Yasmin and myself are now back up and running. Many thanks to all the well wishers, much appreciated.

Yasmin had about two rough days but quickly bounced back and then cracked on with her school work over her isolation. I was knocked about for about eight days, four of which I just wanted to crawl into bed and sleep. The last couple of days of isolation, though, saw me pick myself up and achieve something, namely writing up much of our next Call of Cthulhu adventure, which I’d been putting off doing for need of research, but more of that in another post.

I’ll now start taking the time to catch up on what everyone else has been doing and try not to overheat the ‘like’ button! I’ve also got a load of painting I want to do, and a few posts just waiting pictures, so I’ve got plenty to keep me busy, but first, I’ve got to catch up on life.

You know how it is, when you turn your back on things even for just a short time. The weeds in the garden have taken over. Funny how weeds always grow faster and healthier than anything you actually plant there yourself! The dishwasher gave up the ghost some months ago, and it’s now past time to get a new one. I’d repaired the old thing several times in the past, but it’s beyond help now. We’d been waiting for the one we wanted to come back in stock, which it now has. It’s been a year for things going Kaput. The washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, and last month the fridge freezer, just to name a few. I suppose it’s because they were all brought about the same time and now quite old, and very well used.

Anyway, I’m rambling, and so will call it a day there and move onto something a little more worthwhile, like reading all those wonderful posts in my reader…

    1. Thanks Matt.
I might do a post about the scenario I’ve just written for our campaign. It’s been a bit of an eye opener compared to writing ones for fantasy settings and it took me an age!

  5. I’m really glad you and your daughter are feeling better, mate! Although I’m sorry to hear about your appliance troubles. How are you going to be able to get Kingdom Death if these darn machines aren’t going to cooperate!? πŸ™‚
